Department of Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering is one of the broadest and oldest branch of engineering. Here we offer Bachelor of Technology degree and Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. The department consists of the highly qualified faculty members, well equipped laboratories and good environment for the students to learn and find their targets. The primary focus of our curriculum is to impart technical knowledge-how to students, promote their problem solving skills and innovation of new technologies. Mechanical engineering programs provide more than technical training: they teach the more sophisticated skills of analysis and problem-solving that can be applied to most of the type of engineering, manufacturing, business ventures, management, or even legal practices. They teach you how to learn, develop the thought processes and approaches that will serve you throughout your life and career.

Department of Mechanical Engineering grooms the students to excel in the field of technology. The aim of department is to disseminate knowledge and technologies through quality teaching, research and its applications in mechanical and allied disciplines. Basic inputs are provided in order to build self-confidence to work in industry and to go for higher studies. The Department's motto is to upgrade skills and knowledge of our young engineers to enable them to survive best in the present competitive world. The department also contributes to the society by accomplishing technical projects that caters to the various requirements of the present day world. Student Societyprovides an opportunity to our students to explore new world apart from their curriculum. The students are also encouraged to participate in various technical and extra-curricular events.

Opportunities for Mechanical Engineers

Mechanical engineers are involved with the design, analysis, testing, manufacturing, control, operation, and maintenance of mechanical systems - that is, any system that has a moving part!

  • The curriculum allows students to study thermal sciences, design of manufacturing, system dynamics and controls, and mechanics.
  • Mechanical engineers work in a diverse market analysingproblems, designing systems, and overseeing the manufacturing process.

Mechanical Engineering brings to you a promising career with unlimited opportunities in the field of Production, Design, CAD, CAE/CAM, R&D, Simulation & Industrial Applications, Automotive, Manufacturing, Industries of Steel, Cement, Automobile & many more. For Mechanical Engineering student, there is vast opportunity in Government sector also like ONGC, NTPC, IOCL, SAIL, BHEL, Coal India, EIL, Railways, etc. Along with the private sector like TATA, L&T, Jindal Steel & Power, Aditya Birla Group, Adani Group, Volvo, Alstom, Automobile Industries, Power sector, Steel & Cement industries.
